There are over 1.3 billion people living with disabilities worldwide, which is 16 percent of the entire world population. Despite this, the majority of our society seems to have no contact with the topic. Some of the reasons probably are that many of us do not have a close contact with disabled people and therefore perceive them from a stigmatizing perspective. As a consequence, some affected people hide their disability because they fear being being reduced to its and underestimated in their potential.
