Categorical thinking, a human tendency to organise information and experiences into fixed patterns in order to better understand the world around us and make decisions more quickly. A downside, the bias towards stereotypes and prejudices, as we tend to overlook complexities and only see what fits into our categories.

My journey into this topic began with my personal experience as an assistant for people with disabilities. Where I gained an insight, how much I myself was unconsciously influenced by stereotypical thinking. Therefore, this series intends to foster a destigmatizing perspective by highlighting the beauty and dignity of the human body, regardless of physical ability, focusing on normality of everyday life.
